Following the installation sequence below is critical to ensure proper recognition of the CD changer by the factory radio. 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Determined if a combination of XM-radio and CD-Changer will be installed.(see diagram on back) 3. Mount the XM-Tuner/CD-Changer at the desired location following the instructions supplied by the manufacturer. 4. Locate the factory data cable connectors (3-pin and 6-pin). 5. Plug the factory data cable into the 3-pin and 6-pin sockets of theBMW /PC-PIOX. When used as a CD-Changer interface: (see diagram on back) 6. Plug one end of the Pioneer data cable (supplied with CD changer) into the female IP-BUS DIN of theBMW /PC-PIOX. 7. Route the Pioneer data cable to the CD-Changer location, being careful NOT to pinch or damage the cable. 8. Plug the Pioneer data cable into the mating connector of the Pioneer CD-Changer. 9. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable. When used as an XM-Satellite radio interface: (see diagram on back) 10. Plug one end of the Pioneer data cable (supplied with XM-Tuner) into the female IP-BUS DIN of theBMW /PC-PIOX. 11. Route the Pioneer data cable to the XM-Tuner location, being careful NOT to pinch or damage the cable. 12. Plug the Pioneer data cable into the “IP-BUS OUT” connector of the XM-Tuner. 13. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable. When used in a combination of XM-Satellite radio and CD-Changer interface: (see diagram on back) 14. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable(s). 15.
