DPXTM Technology PLUS from APPLICATION AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PIE PART # BMW/PC-PIOX VEHICLE APPLICATIONS: Use with the following BMW vehicles when equipped with “BMW Business” radio and pre-wired with 3-pin and 6-pin connectors: 3-Series 1998-Up 5-Series 1995-2003 X5 2000-Up Mini 2002-Up TheBMW/PC-PIOX can be used in the following applications : CD-Changer interface XM-Satellite Tuner Interface CD-Changer and XM-Satellite tuner interface Use with one of the following Pioneer (IP-BUS) 6-Disc changers: CDX-P676 CDX-P680 Use with one of the following Pioneer XM-Tuners: GEX-P900XM GEX-FM903XM GEX-P910XMINSTALLATION : CAUTION: BEFORE ANY CONNECTIONS ARE MADE, PIE STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT ALL CIRCUITS BE VERIFIED WITH A VOLTMETER BEFORE INTERFACING WITH THEM. ALWAYS SET THE PARKING BRAKE BEFORE WORKING ON ANY VEHICLE. DO NOT force connectors together as pin damage may occur. Thisinstallation will be flawless if you take your time making the connections described below.

Following the installation sequence below is critical to ensure proper recognition of the CD changer by the factory radio. 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Determined if a combination of XM-radio and CD-Changer will be installed.(see diagram on back) 3. Mount the XM-Tuner/CD-Changer at the desired location following the instructions supplied by the manufacturer. 4. Locate the factory data cable connectors (3-pin and 6-pin). 5. Plug the factory data cable into the 3-pin and 6-pin sockets of theBMW /PC-PIOX. When used as a CD-Changer interface: (see diagram on back) 6. Plug one end of the Pioneer data cable (supplied with CD changer) into the female IP-BUS DIN of theBMW /PC-PIOX. 7. Route the Pioneer data cable to the CD-Changer location, being careful NOT to pinch or damage the cable. 8. Plug the Pioneer data cable into the mating connector of the Pioneer CD-Changer. 9. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable. When used as an XM-Satellite radio interface: (see diagram on back) 10. Plug one end of the Pioneer data cable (supplied with XM-Tuner) into the female IP-BUS DIN of theBMW /PC-PIOX. 11. Route the Pioneer data cable to the XM-Tuner location, being careful NOT to pinch or damage the cable. 12. Plug the Pioneer data cable into the “IP-BUS OUT” connector of the XM-Tuner. 13. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable. When used in a combination of XM-Satellite radio and CD-Changer interface: (see diagram on back) 14. Connect 12-volt constant and chassis-ground wires of Pioneer DIN cable(s). 15. Reinstall the factory radio into the dash and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
